Jardín draws from the lush world of nature surrounding Frida Kahlo in Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird. Floral lace, leaves and butterflies intertwine around the body, creating the image of a woman becoming one with a living garden. Soft layers of netting unfold like a cocoon, gradually revealing the silhouette of a woman, evoking nature’s cycle as something wild, feminine and free.
